The illustration of Superman is based on promotional artwork by Curt Swan that was used for “The Line of DC Super-stars” in 1973.

Wonder Woman is based on promotional art that was used frequently in the mid-70s which was also used for the Superheroines box (link).

Batman is based on 1966 poster art by Carmen Infantino.

Spider-Man is based on a 1967 pinup by Steve Ditko that appeared in Marvel Tales #7, it was also used for the Spider-Man box (link).

The Incredible Hulk is based on Dave Cockrum’s 1976 cover art for The Incredible Hulk #206, it was also used for The Incredible Hulk box (link).
