Large format box for a line of costumes with reflective bands on the sleeves.

Perhaps the rarest of Ben Cooper boxes, there’s virtually no information on it aside from a few photos of a crumpled box. I’ve found no mention of it in any catalogs or advertisements so it’s hard to accurately date. To make things more convoluted in the 1960s there was a Reflect-O-Lite brand of masks, and rival company Collegeville had a Reflecta-Lite line of costumes in the 1970s.

Design Notes:

I recreated the design to the best of my ability based on the few photos that I could find. A fair amount of guesswork and approximation was used.

Typefaces: Annonce/Aurora-Grotesk (modified?) (“Reflecto’o – Big Eye”), Futura Display (“Halloween costume”), Futura bold.
