Design Notes:

The illustration of Doctor Strange is based on Frank Brunner’s 1978 cover art for Dr. Strange #33.

The illustration of The Thing is based on Jack Kirby’s 1977 cover art for Fantastic Four #181.

Red Skull is based on a John Romita drawing that appeared in Bring On the Bad Guys in 1976. It was also used for trading cards, stickers, etc. in the late 70s.

The closest match I’ve found for the illustration of Captain America is JIm Steranko’s 1968 cover art for Captain America #111 but there are significant differences that might suggest an alternate source.
