Box for “Glitter Glo” costumes which had glitter glued to the fabric to be reflective at night. One of the company’s earliest safety features.
Printed in both black and red variants, this was one of two boxes made for the “Glitter Glo” line.
“Glitter Glo” was trademarked in 1959 (link) and the brand was heavily advertised from 1959-1962 when it was more or less replaced by the “Magic-Glo” line of costumes.
The box was pictured in a 1961 retail display manual (link), and a 1959 newspaper ad (link).
